Well, I talked about making a runner as my next project in October of last year. I did get side tracked and made several doilies since this. The runner is now complete, but it wasn't the one I was thinking about in October. That one is still on my "to do" list. This runner measures approximately 56 inches x 13 inches. Made with #10 thread. Here are some pictures of it in its new home.
A relative simple little thing called Gardenhouse Lilies. I used up some vintage thread I had in a larger size to make this one. I believe this is the last of this thread in yellow that I have. The doily is being used to display a fresh canned jar of yellow summer squash pickles.
The name of this doily just called for the color yellow. I used some vintage DMC thread I have had for several years. It is larger than #10, but I really don't think it's #5 thread...anyway, I like the way a simple pattern turned out. The bowl was my Mothers and a cherished item in my kitchen.
