When I saw this doily it immediately reminded me of sea shells. It's from an American School of Needlework publication called "Easy Doilies to Crochet". The pattern is by Rita Weiss. The finished doily measures 19" across and was made with #10 white thread.
Very pretty..I checked out your father-in-law's shop. He has some very nice things..I love antique furniture..just can't really afford them. Have a good week.
