New header

I've been wanting to build a new header for my blog but was having a real  problem getting it to work in Photoshop.  I'm self taught so my knowledge was limited.  Found a site that walked me through making one using the Picasa software.  It was really easy and I like the way it turned out.  May follow through and make multiple collages so I can change them out on the blog during the year.  Especially want to make one with a Christmas theme for that time of the year.

  3. Thanks guys. I'm thinking of doing one of all the Patricia Kristoffersen doilies I've made as well as one with all the Christmas theme ones made. After making a couple more green/white doilies, I probably will be able to make a St. Patricks day banner....Then I'll be able to change out the banner several times during the year....

  6. Love your new headng and your doilies. I personally like it when you take a pattern and revise it to make it your own. I too love working with crochet thread and have just moved to TN, would you be willing to share with me the brands of crochet thread you enjoy working with? I would be interested in learning what brands you use most often and where you purchase them.

  7. Grandmabeth...hi, glad you stopped by. I buy most of my white #10, #20, #30 from a Walmart store, as well as some of the colors they stock. I pick up some of the nice #10 colors from Hobby Lobby, as well as #20 Lizbeth thread from Hobby Lobby. I do purchase #10 Threadart thru Amazon. com. although you can purchase it directly thru their website. They have some nice colors and the thread is easy to work with. I've also crocheted by putting a couple of strands of regular sewing thread together a couple of times.
