I'm still turning out those doilies. Have a peach and white oval one to put the flower on. A lilac and white round one to add the finishing touches to, and a burgandy and white oblong one to block, etc. The burgandy one is somewhat different from the traditional type doiles that I make, but I saw this one in all white and it just "called to me". Will post pictures soon....

Two little beauties
These two were made from the center of a pattern of a larger doily. The flowers/leaves are not a part of the pattern, but added extra. The pattern is from a foreign magazine. I have a larger doily completed using the entire pattern, but have not added the touch of the flowers yet. Will post that one later.

Chrysanthemum Beauty
This doily is from the House of White Birches - Floral Beauties - Collectible Doily Series and is called Chrysanthemum Beauty. I really like the color combination. The pattern was really easy to follow (written), and the colors used were per the pattern. When blocking I did point the spoke wheels rather than round them out on the edge. I personally like the points better.

Thoughts for 2011....
I've been pondering my crochet work for several weeks now. I seem to be moving to more color in my work...not just solid colors, but several colors in one piece. Finished a doily this week called Chrysanthemum Beauty from the House of White Birches-Floral Beauties (Collectible Doily Series). It uses 3 colors. I really like the way it turned out. Now to get it blocked in the next day or two and shared. Have 2 more from December that are in various stages of blocking...soon to be displayed
I do believe there will be more doilies in 2011 with multiple colors and even flowers!

Pineapple Garden
This oblong one has been on my "to do list" for quite some time. I have always loved the center of it. I was able to finally finish it in December. I love the way it turned out. It was made with #20 white thread. The finished size is approximatley 12" x 20". The pattern comes from one of the Leisure Arts "little books" called Pineapple Doilies published in the 1999.
