A new runner

We can finally feel some fall in the air.  Although the temps are still in the upper 80s low 90s, there is a "coolness" that you can feel when the wind blows.  We are really looking for some cooler fall weather!  In the meantime, watching the tropical depression entering the Gulf of Mexico and what will happen.

This runner was made as a gift.  The motif was found on Pinterest some time ago.  I had previously made a smaller runner for a friend using this motif, and when the opportunity came up to make a birthday gift, I immediately thought of this pattern.  It was made with Red Heart #20 white thread using a #11 hook.  It took approximately 1,800 yards (4+ balls) of thread.  There are 19 rows of 4 motifs each.  Started July 7, 2016, and finished July 26, 2016.  It's 6 feet long and will look lovely gracing her dining room table.  Hopefully I will get pictures and be able to post later.

Sirius Doily

It's a quite Sunday afternoon for us, hope everyone else in enjoying the time together.

Sirius Doily designed by Julie Haberberger and from the book "Stella Beauties".  Used #10 Thread - Artiste Porcelain and Aunt Lydia Maize with a #7/1.65 mm hook.  Finished size 13 1/2 inches.  Completed 7/28/2016.  I had also made this doily several years ago substituting gold thread for the yellow Maize.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful week and God Bless!

Spokes Doily

Another doily from Sabrina Tous de Ouvrages, issue 81, made with Artiste #10 thread in the colors grass and porcelain using a #1.00 Clover hook.

I think it looks so much better in color than how it looks in the magazine.  What do you think?  You could change the color on the outer round to red and have a Christmas doily!

Thanks for stopping by and God bless!

Delicate Doily-Model 10

I have no idea of where I found this pattern.  I didn't make a note of the location when I printed it out to make.  It could have been in one of the "zillion" foreign magazines that I have on my external hard drive.

It was completed in June using Lizbeth #20 thread in the color 671-Christmas Red and Red Heart #20 thread in white using a #11 hook.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Debutantes doily

We are still having wet weather from the tropical storm down in the Gulf of Mexico!  Lots and lots of rain!  We are hoping it will end soon!

A recently completed doily that was made with Lizbeth #20 thread, color #610-Azalea Medium using a #11 hook. The pattern is from a foreign magazine called Sabrina Tou les Ouvrages, issue 81.

Model 46

It's been rainy here most of the day.  We were without power for two hours!

This doily is simply called Model 46.  It was found on the web; I'm sorry I didn't make note of the site.  I just love the center! I used Cebelia #20 in white with a #10 hook.  The finished doily measures 15 1/2 inches across.

Thanks for stopping by and God bless!
