Stars and Roses Doily almost complete

I had planned on posting this doily (completed) today, but when putting the final round of white on it, I discovered two mistakes.  I had made one rose with only five petals and it should have been six.  Also, in attaching the roses to the doily itself with the green I had missed one stitch on another rose.  You may say "one stitch" no big deal, but it made the loops of green around that rose not correct....thus the final row would not be correct with the number of picots over the rose.  Well, there was nothing to do but take the portion of the final row I had already done off and remove the two roses with the errors.  I've already re-attached one rose; now I need to make the last rose with the correct number of petals (that's SIX, not five) and attach it....then back to the final row.

The rose pattern I'm using is not the same as the doily pattern. I had made one rose per the pattern and didn't like it, so I went looking in my stash for another pattern with six petals.

Hope you like it!

You did a wonderful job. Isn't it an awful feeling when you think you finally have finished something and then to look at it to see a mistake? I just hate it when I do that. Very pretty.

It is beautiful !:)

I can understand how mistakes make us to redo, I sometimes leave the project for a while especially if the mistake requires more than 10% of my work to unwind or when it gets frustrating.

wow that sure is pretty.. Sorry for the mistakes I know the feeling of ripping out. Sad and it always seems worse when you are close to the end.

Dear Linda,

As usual, another beautiful doily made by you. You are really my idol!

By the way, I saw your Doily 759 and I fell in love with it. Would greatly appreciate any info on where to buy/find this pattern?

Thanks and best regards,
Toni

Hi Linda, Thanks for visiting me and joining my blog. Your kind comments mean a lot to me as I really admire your work. I think your crochet is perfect and so neat. I often visit your site for inspiration and also to correct the shabbiness of my own work.
Love.
