I have decided to try this "blogger" thing. Thread crochet is my passion. I have spent many, many years collecting patterns and books! I can always find one more pattern to make. Most of my creations have been given away to dear friends and family over the years. During the past year I have made 2 round tablecloths for a dear...dear friend. Below are pics of them. Hope everyone enjoys looking. Both are Elizabeth Hiddleson patterns. EH did such beautiful design work during her lifetime! I think I have ALL of her books! Hope to have more posts in the days ahead!~
The first one is from Elizabeth Hiddleson's book #14 and is called "For the Bride". The 2nd one is from her book #40. Both were done with #10 thread and a #8 hook.

Your tablecloths are beautiful!!!
Great job! So beautiful, I love it!
Thank you! Thread crochet is my passion!
Very nice!
What size thread did you use? What EH book did the first tablecloth pattern come from?
I used #10 thread with a #8 hook. I don't remember which book. Will look it up and add that to my post when I find it (will do on both EH tableclothes)
I was looking for a crochet tablecloth pattern for a 70" round table, so It would need to lie flat for 70", not sure if I can do that with this pattern?
Trent, I've made several of these tablecloth patterns in the past and they are flat, like a huge round doily. It's the hanging over the edge of the table that makes them ruffle. The one with the lacets and pineapples turned out about 72" across in size 10 thread. You could always stop when it is the right size, but remember that blocking or even just steam pressing will usually add to the finished size.
Where can i find the patter pleassss

Where can I purchase these pineapple tablecloth patterns?
The one with the lacets is free on the "Moms Love of Crochet" web site. The one that is all pineapples is also, I think, on the Mom's Love of Crochet web site. The one at the top of the page was in a Magic or Decorative Crochet magazine back in the 1980s or 1990s; you can usually find them for sale on eBay or Etsy. It was designed by Elizabeth Hiddleson and is, I think, in Volume 14 which I still have in stock.
Hi there, lovely doylies you have made.
I fancy Elizabeth Hiddleson's design - I have a lot of her book and have crochet some of her design - just finished "Mountain trail" - and started a week ago on "For The Bride".
Sorry to say, I do not have book no.40. That one was amazing.
Any chance of buying the pattern from you?
I have crocheted since I was 12 - long long time ago.
And yes, I'm a man, hoho
