Elysium Doily

A beautiful doily pattern designed by Grace Fearon called "Elysium".  It was made with Artiste #10 thread in the color "spearmint" and using a #4/2.00mm hook.   It measures 16 inches.  You can find the pattern for purchase on Ravelry.

Hope your Tuesday is going great!

Nina's Pineapple Doily

Another doily that was donated to a Christian School for their annual auction.  It was made with #10 thread using a #7 hook and measures 22 inches.  The pattern is a free one from the web.  You can find it by searching with the doily name.  I'm happy to say it brought in $100.00!

Spring Pineapple Floral Lace doily

I've made this one before, but this doily was donated to a Christian School for their annual auction.  The funds raised with the auction are used for mission work throughout the year.  I used #10 thread and a #4/2.00mm hook.  The final piece measured 22 inches across.  I did use a different rose pattern and changed the last row to add more green to the outer edge.  The pattern is from Cylinda Mathews and can be found on her website, HERE.   I'm happy to say it brought in $150.00.  I was very pleased with it!

Hope you are enjoying your day!

Marjorie Doily

This pattern is from Grace Fearon's collection and I've made it before, but wanted to do another one for a non-profit auction that I donate to each year.  I used #10 thread and a #4/2.00mm hook.  I had also donated the first one in 2017 and it went for $65.00.  Hopefully this one will do as well.

Enjoy your day!

Daisy Doily

Another Grace Fearon design.  Her patterns are outstanding and I have the privilege of being a "tester" for her.  This one is called Daisy and was made using Artiste #10 thread in the color Porcelain and a #4/2.00mm hook.  It measures 16 inches.  You can find all her patterns for sale on Ravelry.

White Peacock doily

I completed this doily several weeks ago, but due to the size and the size of my blocking boards, I had to move it around in stages to complete the blocking.  It measures 25 inches and was made with #10 thread and a #4/2.00mm hook.  The pattern is by Olga Mattheis and can be purchased in English from her Ravelry store.

Dogwood Runner

I came across the motif used in this runner on the web and it caught my eye. I thought it would work up nice into a runner.  It was very time consuming.  I found working on it so repetitive that I had to work on it some between other projects.  Each motif measures 2.5 inches.  I used #20 thread with a #11 hook.  The finished runner measures 18 inches by 90 inches and containes 216 motifs.

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

No time anymore.....

Hope everyone is enjoying your summer.  We have had a lot of rain here this summer!

Since retiring 2 and a half years ago, I seem to have no time any more.  I guess I was just more organized when I work 40+ hours a week and drove 35 miles one way.  I have been crocheting some and will try to get caught up with posting to the blog.

I have made this doily several times before, but decided to make it again with some smaller versions as a set.  It was given to a good friend in May.

Enjoy your weekend!
