This was my first attempt at the tapestry crochet stitch. I'm really pleased at how it turned out. It was made with #10 thread using a #9 hook, and measures 17 1/2 inches from point to point. As I said before, the outter edging of pineapples was duplicated from a photo of a finished doily I saw on the web. This is also my first attempt at crocheting from a photo of a finished piece and not an actual pattern.
This one is a gift to a dear friend, but I will definitely be making another one for myself!
Thanks for stopping by.....

Linda..you did a wonderful job. This is a wonderful doily. I hope you wrote down what you did. I forget to do it and just work through it, therefore I can never make it quite the same. Very nice indeed.

Dear Linda,
My jaw just about hit the floor when I reached your site. You have done what I
have wanted in my60 yrs. of crocheting too. These are just gorgeous doilies. I have
been looking over the internet for some such as these. I tried to figure out the
Christmas tree doily,so I can try that. I saw something similar to yours,on the net
then couldn't remember where I saw it, but it was nowhere near as pretty as yours.
