Stars and Roses Doily almost complete

I had planned on posting this doily (completed) today, but when putting the final round of white on it, I discovered two mistakes.  I had made one rose with only five petals and it should have been six.  Also, in attaching the roses to the doily itself with the green I had missed one stitch on another rose.  You may say "one stitch" no big deal, but it made the loops of green around that rose not correct....thus the final row would not be correct with the number of picots over the rose.  Well, there was nothing to do but take the portion of the final row I had already done off and remove the two roses with the errors.  I've already re-attached one rose; now I need to make the last rose with the correct number of petals (that's SIX, not five) and attach it....then back to the final row.

The rose pattern I'm using is not the same as the doily pattern. I had made one rose per the pattern and didn't like it, so I went looking in my stash for another pattern with six petals.

Hope you like it!

The latest doily

This is another pattern that I picked up along the way on the web.  I know you have seen numerous ones very similar.  It caught my eye with the center and then the really small pineapple shapes around the outer edge.  It was made with #20 thread and #10 hook and measures 15 1/2 inches.  It wasn't the easiest thing to block.

Hope you enjoyed looking!  Have a great Sunday afternoon!

Breaking Dawn doily

This doily was made with #20 thread and # 10 hook.  It measures 15 1/2 inches across.  I think the detailed center just sets it off and makes it a beautiful pattern.  I really enjoyed working on this one...

Thanks for taking a "peek" at my latest creation!  I do love doilies!!!

I present to you "Vintage Design 759"!

Isn't this a beautiful pattern?  Some of the really old ones are so outstanding!  I don't know who the author of the pattern is, but I fell in love with it.  It was made with #30 thread and measures 22 inches across.

Hope you enjoyed viewing my latest project and have a great week!
