Pretty in Pink

This doily comes from a magazine called Dekoratives Hakeln, issue 104.  Started 7/21/2014, finished 7/26/2014.  Made with #10 thread using #10 hook.  Measures 17 inches.  The last row is my creation.

After completing the doily and blocking it I realized I had made it before with the last row per the pattern.   See the doily in the lower left of the magazine cover.

I can't remember all the doilies I've made....guess I'm bound to duplicate from time to time.

Roadside beauties

On my way to work and home each day I pass an area where these lilies are growing freely.  They are so beautiful right now.  The roadway mower crew has learned they come up here each year and display their beauty around the 1st of August, so they mow around this area each year.  Thought I would share a couple of pictures captured with my phone camera in a "drive by".
