Poinsettia Tapestry Doily is complete

I've finshed the Poinsettia Tapestry Doily and I must say I'm well pleased with the crocheted edging around it.  Well, it's more than just an "edging".  It's actually pineapples around it....and to think, I was able to successfully complete this part by only looking at an online photo!   That's a 1st for me!   Now to get it blocked and posted sometime this weekend.

Background Change

I figured out how to change the background on my blog and am using a collage of doilies I made back around the 4th of July, all in red, white and blue.  My mind is thinking ahead....make a collage of red, green, and white pieces to use during the Christmas season, another one for Easter, another one spotlighting doilies by a specific designer that you have made.   The possibilities are endless!

Poinsettia Tapestry Doily update

I'm about 50% complete with the outer crochet section.  As I said before, I don't have a pattern for this part, only saw a finished doily with this edging on another blog and really like it.   I'm attempting to duplicate the edging from the photograph.
